From everyone at Strategic Group, the warmest thanks to all our tenants, contractors, family, friends, team members and partners who contributed to the 2018 Project Warmth campaign. The success of this year’s campaign was made possible by everyone’s eagerness to support a cause that’s near and dear to our hearts.
On November 27, 2018, we experienced a startling set-back when over 1,000 items collected during the campaign were stolen from Project Warmth’s warehouse. When Calgarians heard this terrible news, many were moved to donate additional money and items to make up for the loss.
With everyone pitching in, we collected 3,312 pieces of clothing to help keep those in need warm this winter. And with the additional attention—however painful—even more Calgarians donated directly to Project Warmth.
While Strategic Group’s official donation drive is over, there are still ways for Calgarians to give to Project Warmth.
On Saturday, January 19 from 10 am to 2 pm, Strategic Group will be at the Calgary Farmers’ Market for Project Warmth Day. We invite you, your colleagues, families and friends to join our efforts and bring clothing donations to our table. Cash donations will also be accepted on site.
And, of course, you can donate to Project Warmth directly by visiting their website.
On behalf of Strategic Group and the Project Warmth Society of Alberta: many thanks! We hope to see you at the Calgary Farmers’ Market in the new year.
